Hello! I have a similar issue as the OP. Almost every time I run the volume analysis function, MusicBee freezes at the end of the analysis (or, if I'm analyzing several albums at once, it can potentially freeze after analyzing any one of the albums).
I had this issue for months, then it seemed to disappear, but now it's back. When it happens, the only thing I can do is try closing MusicBee, then a popup window tells me a task is currently running and asks me if I'm sure about closing. When I do that, it enables the volume analysis to conclude, but then after MusicBee closes whether I select "Yes" or "No".
I checked the error log but there's nothing corresponding to the times I have the issue, maybe because I manage to close MusicBee "normally", if that makes sense? The last time it happened, I checked the Windows task manager, memory usage was at 92% with the Windows explorer largely to blame for it...
For a time, I tried checking the option to minimise to status bar when the volume analysis starts, and it seemed to alleviate the issue, but now the freezing occurs even with this option checked.
My MusicBee version is 3.4.7724. I run the program on a i5-4200H laptop with 6GB of RAM. My music library is stored on an external HDD.
Thank you for any help you may provide. I've been using MusicBee for two years now and it's been a fantastic experience
