[Is there any chance to correct it by refreshing your reference language file for translation? I'd like to apply the changes before releasing my work if possible.
i have programmatically regenerated the file up to and including v3.0
So it has the translation values as written in the program and anything thats no longer needed is removed from this file. However, i cant 100% guarantee that this generated file includes every translation item so only use it as a reference:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/2f0f1tycyffnymb/englishGenerated3_0.dat

Also, for any other translators, i can look at merging this file with your latest translation file so it would show:
#id# english text
#id# your translation

this would just be for reference purposes as i cant guarantee the generated id/values are 100% complete. Let me know if you are interested and send me your latest file

Thank you for the help.

I'll review with the file and release when it is finished.

ps. Oops, there are so many duplicates and it seems you didn't remove many obsolete items.

As I cannot figure out items to be removed which is no longer used, I decide not to touch them and focus on newly changed items from the given reference file using a comparison tool.

It is true the same text can be used with multiple id's but i cant change that. You can be sure all the items in this file are used

its because Steven repeats (hopefully for me) the same words/(sub)sentences for every dialog, where they are used.

There are indeed translation entries missing from this file.

Would it be possible for you to provide a file that has all actual working entries?

The translation file I have been working on myself up-til now currently has some 6300 lines.
As a rough estimation perhaps a quarter of that is now obsolete and could be removed.
But it's not possible to decide with certainty what can be removed.
It would be nice to be able to create a cleaned-up file without all the old luggage.

the file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/2f0f1tycyffnymb/englishGenerated3_0.dat
is all the active working translation strings as programmatically extracted from the musicbee code as-of v3.0
because its programmatically generated its possible some of the active translation strings didnt get included so let me know the ones you think are missing in this file. Once there is some confidence in this file, it can use it used as the new base and as mentioned i can merge it with the translation files.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/38xigott6gf87oe/English_-_Full_v3.zip
this file is the aggregated translation files of every release to v3.0 so will include items no longer active and duplicate items where the translation text was tweaked

Thanks, I will put my teeth in these.

Just one example of an entry that was missing from the previously generated file:
#Lib.col.A54FD07D#

i can see why thats missing. I will need to manually correct the generated file. There will likely be a few more cases of #XXX.col.XXX# items missing but i will find them and add them. If you find any other ones other than .col. missing then let me know

Looking good, getting there.

This one is missing:

#About.msg.C©SM2Arr#

I think it should probably be there?

I've never looked at translating TheatreMode items, but I noticed the entry: #Main.menu.TheaDock# in a previous file.
It's not in the latest 'generated' file. Should it?
Should there be any other reference or explanation on TheatreMode in the new file?

I've been trying out the latest 'generated' file quite extensively, and it looks like it's quite solid and complete now.
I have managed to reduce my working translation file from approximately 6300 lines to 4500, so it has been worth it.

I found one untranslated entry:
Device > Settings : "split files with a cuesheet into individual tracks"
