Hi,

i think this might be the right place to ask...

Theres a problem with "Find more 'xyz' in library" with our german localization:

in english it works searching for e.g.

artist:Pink Floyd

but localized it searches for

künstler:Pink Floyd

and doesnt find anything.
So are there strings (like 'artist') we havent translated yet or strings that we should not translate, so this feature can work?
 ???

the new .exe from the last post includes a fix for that bug
(it also supports some additional items that were missing from 1.2.4145, which can be found in the new.txt file in that post - i will send an update to all the translators later in the week in case we find any more missing items)

just to let everyone know i will spend some time playing around with the draft localisations, and try and tweak the layout handling to better cope with the different prompt widths - i've already made some improvements to the tag editor. I wont be able to easily adjust for everything though, but keep in mind there is a way you can scale the general width of the dialogs (already being done on the german and russian translations)

andrea.ippo, I didn't understand your issue numbering (#AI1, #AI2, etc) first, but do now. I think its a good idea that every translator maintains own issue numbering using prefix - I reserve prefix 'B'.

Steven,  new issue:

B68. Filename char mapping window: word ‘space’ is not localized.

New issues:

B70. Filter manager/custom search/status bar text: ‘# files match the custom filter’ is not localized.

B71. Native MB's built-in Stereo Enhancer plugin: settings window is not localized.

B72. Saved custom search name with condition ‘any of’: no value in name after ‘any of’.

----------------------------------

Partially fixed issues (what is not fixed written in bold):

59. Tag editor: properties/volume leveling: ‘track:’, ‘album:’ are not localized.

67. Library statistics window: duration (#days, # years) is not localized.

----------------------------------

43-67 all done
Not fixed issues:  53, 54, 68, 56, 48.A, 49, 52.

53-55 are missing from the list
I redefined their numbers in this post, sorry.

They are:

53. 'Native' string characterizing MB's built-in Stereo Enhancer plugin in plugin list.

54. The value of the 'Lyrics?' tag doesn't seem to be localized (e.g. 'Y [synched]')

55. Preferences-> Plugins: if you disable the any plugin, a non-localized '(disabled)' string appears. Its done.

@ Steven: are the new keys of the file cited at page 2 - changes from 11th may - working correctly? I tried to translate the ones for the About dialog but strings weren't translated.
I'm using MB version 1.2.4148.
Regards,
Lorenzo

Steven,

I simply added the new strings to my Italiano.lng file but was unable to have them working; I uploaded the file here if you want to try:

http://www.mediafire.com/?dj9mk9wa19w6em7

Notice that older keys are correctly translated, so I'm assuming that the file format and position are correct.
MusicBee.exe details: version 1.2.4148.30782 - size 5.487.104 bytes

Thanks,
Lorenzo

Ok! It's working now :)
If it may help, I also noticed in the same file that 8-May-2011 and 11-May-2011 don't have a ! before them (though it doesn't seem to have side effects unlike the part you indicated).
Thanks and regards,
Lorenzo

Steven, please reconfirm that issue #32 doesn't happen for you with my latest translation and MB version 1.24148. This is the only string that is not localizable in MB for me.

there is a mistake in the new.txt file
it should be
#AutoSD.ctl.493A25AE#

and should replace
#AutoSD.493A25AE#

also B-72, any of - i can see thats not translated but your description of the problem doesnt seem to be saying that, so can you confirm thats what you meant. You might need to provide some more details of what you mean

67 - both should be fine
#Main.msg.days#
#Main.msg.Years0#   No years
#Main.msg.Years1#   1 year
#Main.msg.Years9#   {0} years
