I've had Auto DJ playing tracks with Playcount less than 2 for awhile and it's been going fine for quite awhile.

But recently it stopped, even though there are several hundred tracks remaining with Playcount equal 1. (There are about 14,000 tracks total.)

If I stop Auto DJ, these tracks play sequentially as expected.

If I add new tracks, they show up in Auto DJ with Playcount = 0 and it plays them as expected.

If I Reset Playcount to 0 on a few of these tracks and stop & start Auto DJ, it still doesn't "see" the reset tracks.

Any idea what's going on and how I can correct this?

Thanks so much! ..Bill..

Also, Auto DJ won't play these tracks using other fields such as last played.

Maybe there's some corruption in my MB library?

It would be lovely to get some help with this!   :o   :)

Thanks!

If you create an auto-playlist using the same criteria do you get the results you expect?

Good question!

I created a playlist of some of the tracks that Auto DJ won't play using its filter.
I turned off the filter, and sourced the tracks from the playlist.
When I click Preview, I get "No tracks match the selected criteria."

So to answer your question, no, I don't get the results I expect.

Thanks very much!

Now I think I understand that I didn't understand your question because I've never used Playlists.

I think you wanted me to create a playlist and just play it without anything to do with Auto DJ. (Duh!  :P  ;D )

I created a playlist of a few of the tracks that Auto DJ won't play. The playlist plays these tracks as expected.

Any idea on how to get Auto DJ to play these tracks?

Thanks so much!

That's not what he's asking at all.

He's asking that instead of creating an auto-DJ with a set of criteria, you use that set to create an auto-playlist instead and see if the auto-playlist chooses the songs that aren't being chosen by the Auto-DJ.  Nothing to do with manually adding songs to a playlist.

Thank you frankz!

Talk about a few bricks short of a load! LOL!  :-X  ;D I'm a very basic user of MB and hadn't noticed auto-playlists!

So I set up an auto-playlist with Playcount less than 2. This plays the tracks that auto DJ wouldn't play.

Thank you muchly!
