duplicate paths

Migrated to a new external NAS
did the link swap from //old/path to //new/path
However I also mounted //new/path to A:\ and added A:\ to be monitored.
Now every file in my library shows up twice because it does exist in //new/path and in A:\
Same file but two paths, is there a simple fix for this ?

Could you maybe describe what you did to resolve it so that if someone in the future has a duplicate path problem they'll know where to start?
