I can't tell you how many times I've made a comp, only to have it erased by a simple push of a key.

Got it all ready to burn, hit the wrong key, and every. Single. Track is gone. My time, wasted. I know it's free, but damn, there's got to be a better way.

JRiver, will you take me back?  :'(

Are you just venting? Or do you want some help?

If you're expecting any help at all, you really need to provide some details. Ideally a step-by-step of what you're doing.

And you readily admit that the problem is caused by you hitting the wrong key. In all my years here, no one has brought up this issue. So perhaps you need to change what you're doing so you don't hit the wrong key.

Ditto what phred says. If you're making a list of tracks to burn, you could make a playlist first, and burn that to CD.
