Edits are reverted when scanning

I have an issue where whenever I edit albums by adding album art, those edits are then reverted when I refresh the client. I'm not using the Windows Store version. At Version 3.3.7310 atm

Tools->Advanced->Reset Artwork Cache.  If you've made any changes to artwork locations/retrieval order in Prefs/Tags(1)/Artwork Storage/set pictures displayed/edit list, be sure you have hit the Rescan Artwork button in lower left corner of the edit list window.

Also be sure the artwork is actually being saved when you add it, i.e. the files are not read-only.
