Hello everyone

Ive just downloaded Musicbee. Looks very promising. I was using foobar, but then went to itunes because of podcasts. Itunes in honestly the worst music/podcast manager ive ever come across and ive user a bunch. I have a few questions, theres alot going on with this program and im find it abit overwhelming

How do i view all downloaded podcasts?

While itunes is a pos, one thing it did which i really like is it would enable me to have a smart playlist for new podcasts and one for one's id already listened to. Ideally, it would have just deleted them once my iPod and told itunes id already heard it, but its only a small problem really.

How can i update my ipod with musicbee.

Can i drag an drop or is there a process of using playlists?

Is there a recommended resource to learn the program?

Its clearly a very capable piece of software but where can i do a crash course in learning how to customize everything. For example, i was wanting to move the progress bar to the top

Thank you for your time!

Hi, welcome to the forum!

Your questions about syncing should mostly be answered here: https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Devices

However, beware that iPods are not really supported. There are some plugins that might help, but they haven't been updated in a while.

Also, nearly all Preferences settings are covered on the wiki, though a few bits are out of date at this point.

Podcasts are unfortunately not one of MusicBee's strengths. You can get by but in terms of syncing play data from a device or something you'll probably find it challenging. However, you might be able to use Auto-playlists to help a little.

ok ive actually figured some of this out.

I went to preferences>libreary>podcasts>naming template>reorginise   - I checked all the podcasts were in the same place.

Then, i made an auto playlist which was connected with only those folders. So now only the downloaded podcasts are on there.
