File Menu inaccessible

I get this error when I try to click Musicbee -> File.  I cannot click into the file menu.

unzip and replace the existing musicbee files

if it still happens, can you send me a link to your settings file (help/ support/ view settings)

So I can access the file menu, but now when I try to scan for files, the number of files that I am trying to add shows up, but I am getting a File Scan Failed, and the files do not get added.  Here is a link to my file settings:  https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JklKVI2ANuVqwpZL7LGWpHEj2MtlCecg

It appears you have upgraded from a very old MB version (<= v2.5?) and that caused the original issue and still is causing issues elsewhere.
This should fix the upgrade issue but I cant say with certainty whether its related to the new issue you report
