The settings for [use relative file paths] and [path prefix for tracks] are ignored.
Playlists are always output as relative paths separated by "/"

This bug has been occurring since ver 3.3, and it has also occurred in ver 3.3.7115.
Such a bug did not occur in ver 3.2.

there is no "path prefix for tracks" setting for device sync. Are you sure you are not confusing the library playlist export settings in the Preferences/ Library window?
Device sync can apply relative paths but its set in the device settings panel

I hoped that this configuration would output playlists with "\" delimited absolute paths.
However, the playlist was actually output as a relative path separated by "/".

ok, i see you are synching to a USB stick or something similar rather than an android device.
In which case, yes I can reproduce the issue so i will see what can be done to fix it.
It would have been better to report this when you knew it was an issue rather than waiting until after the final was made

I'm running into this bug now as well. I never had this problem before. I recently synced my Fiio X1 device with MusicBee for the first time in 3 weeks and now the "path prefix for tracks" field does not seem to be working.

I have input "TF1:\" as my path prefix for tracks, but the playlists continue to use my computer drive ("F:\") instead of "TF1:\".

Example:
This is what exports: F:\Music\a-ha\Hunting High And Low\Take On Me 01.mp3
This is what used to export when it exported properly: TF1:\Music\a-ha\Hunting High And Low\Take On Me 01.mp3

I have not changed any settings in the past month that would have led to this change.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Before what & when?  What MusicBee version are you running now?  Have you applied the latest update patch linked in Steven's post?  If so, try it again, it was updated about 3 times today.

Yes. I just tried that patch and I'm still experiencing the same. I have been using MusicBee to sync to a Fiio X1 for several years. I performed a sync in mid-June and had no trouble. I just performed my first sync since then, yesterday, and am now running into the problem. I've tried the patch and tried another sync and I'm still seeing the issue. MusicBee version 3.3.7115.

The patch is now delivering version 3.3.7136, which includes the fix;  3.3.7115 does not.  Are you perhaps using the "Windows Store" version of MusicBee?  If so, that cannot be updated manually with the patches;  only the Installer and Portable versions can.  If you DO have one of the latter two versions, download and apply the patch again--the NAME is the same, "MusicBee33_Patched.zip", but the contents change almost daily.  If your version number still does not show = or > 3.3.7136, you probably are dealing with a Windows permissions problem--try it as an Administrator.

I've reinstalled MusicBee using the MusicBee installer - and also tried the portable installer - and I'm still only able to see version 3.3.7115. When I run the patch, I get a startup error with the below error log. My computer account is an admin account. Do you still think this may be due to a permissions setting?

Your error log shows you're trying to use 3.3.7136.

You also say that you're running the patch. You don't run the patch. You unzip the patch to your MB directory and overwrite the existing files. -Then- run MB.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Thank you very much for the help. I ran into some trouble with 3.3.7136 but I tried downloading the patch again and I'm now on 3.3.7149, which is working great!

I do notice that each new song file and playlist are taking longer to sync than in previous versions, but that is not a significant issue.

Thank you so much again for your help and patience. It's much appreciated.
