Are the tracks on each of the albums by different artists? If so you probably don't have Album Artist set to Various Artists. If you make Album Artist the same for each track of the album, it will (should) display as a single album.

It might be helpful to post a screen shot of Tags (1) of the Tag Editor after selecting all the tracks of the album.

yes, many of albums are more than one artist. set Album Artist to Various Artists is work! thank you!

I just realized that the "Various Artists" is a fixed tag, not a result of programming. I think the program should know "Various Artists" when it finds that there are multiple artists on the album.

There is s way to set handle this programmatically.

Three things have to happen for it to work:
1) Album Artist must be empty on any track you want this to apply to
2) itunes compilation must be ticked on the settings tab
3) the itunes compilation option in Sorting/Grouping Preferences must be turned on

Then, MusicBee will treat whatever is in the box in preferences as the Album Artist for those albums. I think it is Various Artists by default
