MixPlore is no longer needed.
I officially started development and registered it with Google in May 2024, so an apk from 2023 is not mine if it was installed via the store.
If the latest beta does not install, you may go to the play store, delete cache and storage to see the latest.
The APK I referred to was not from the Play Store. It was posted on the forum, perhaps even in this thread. But no need to go looking for it. I am willing to try the beta as I'm running MB RC2. I know I was signed up for the beta program with Play, but I can't find the link. Do I need to sign up again? And if so, please provide the link.

Thanks.

When you sign up for beta testing in the Play Store, your app update will automatically change to the latest beta version.
Conversely, you will not be able to install or update the current release.
It may take a little time from sign-up until you can update to the beta version.
If you remain in the closed test Google group, the closed test version will be installed from the Play Store.

I now see that when I go to the Play store on my phone and search for the WiFi app, it shows "beta." With a last update (2.7.13) oo February 26, 2025. So I guess I'm running the (almost) current beta. You just released 2.7.14 which hasn't cleared Google's approval yet.

I see the same version on my Google Play Store running Android 13 One UI 5.1

The closed test version will be installed as a beta version for those who participated in the closed test and are registered in the Google group.
That is currently 2.7.13 and will be 2.7.14 once the review process is complete.
Otherwise, beta testers who are not registered in Google group will currently have 2.7.11 installed.
The current version is 2.7.10.

Version 2.7.14 has been reviewed.
Those using 2.7.13 can update.
Since 2.7.13 was released to a closed test environment due to incomplete EMOJI filename support, 2.7.14 will be released as a regular beta version as soon as I have completed my degrade test.

2.7.14 beta was available this evening. Downloaded and updated. Will have time to test tomorrow, but I don't anticipate any issues since my needs are simple.

I updated to version 2.7.14. I tested it three times and it starts the sync but nothing shows up and nothing actually syncs. I checked the preview and nothing shows up in there either.

A quick test using 2.7.14. One file to be deleted, one file to be copied, one playlist to be updated. Seemingly ran fine. With nothing changed on the MB side I did another preview twenty minutes later and it showed one file to be deleted, one file to be copied, one playlist to be updated. Digging a little deeper, I found that the file to be deleted wasn't. But the file to be copied and the playlists were. I'll have more time to look into this later today.

With no changes to my files in MB, the sync app preview always shows the same items to be synced. If I add a track or album, they show in preview along with the previous items which have not changed at all.

Should I try clearing the cache and/or data via the app settings?

In version 2.7.14, one of the reasons why some music files appear in the Sync target every time is because they were case-sensitive when querying the MediaStore. In my environment, this modification eliminated the problem.

Perhaps you may need to Sync twice with the new version. If the cause is case-sensitive, it should not appear after the third Sync.

One more point: I received a comment from an Android Waklman user that he could not select the SD card on the settings screen because the scrollbar did not appear, so I modified it so that the scrollbar appears on the small screen.

The EMOJI file name works on Android 14 devices as well as normal file names, but not on Android 12 devices. I will try to track it down when I have time.

We would like to release version 2.7.15 with these fixes to the regular beta environment.

This has not happened in my last few syncs, so it seems resolved. I'll keep an eye on it over the weekend. Thanks.

Version 2.7.15 has been released to the open test environment.
・Completion of EMOJI file name support (not for Android 12)
・Fixed the scroll bar when the settings screen is viewed on a small screen device.
・Fixed that the same file appears in the preview as a Sync target every time, no matter how many times it is Sync'd (developing).
The system requirements are MusicBee 3.6 RC2 or later.

One feature that is being investigated and fixed is that when Sync is interrupted, files continue to be received and copied even after the interruption.
It is a bit large and will take some time.

It seems to be a bug created by the addition of Japanese language resources after I became the source maintainer.
In my view, this bug does not occur for people using in an English environment. It occurs only to those who use it in a Japanese environment.
If you are an experienced Android programmer, it would be faster to say that it is in R.string.
However, only the important part of the cancellation decision was written directly in English, without taking it from the resource.
Therefore, only when executing in a Japanese environment, the English and Japanese are compared, and the cancellation judgment is always false, and I could not break out of the Sync loop.
In this case, I reviewed all the resource strings in all the sources and corrected the direct writing so that they are properly taken from the resources.
The Sync interruption now succeeds even in Japanese environment.
Considering the volume of Japanese users, I will release it in the next beta release, but not immediately.

I have found that this problem also occurs in the English environment for another reason.
Currently, I am able to get to the point where I can suspend it successfully, but then restarting the app is not sufficient to continue Sync again, and MusicBee needs to be restarted.
I will have a version that can stop Sync in a beta release as soon as possible, but I will have to wait for MusicBee's 3.7 series before I can finally finish the fix.
Please use Sync interruption with caution.
