Is this normal?

Iv noticed that in this location
MusicBee\AppData\InternalCache\AlbumCovers

Then you have folders inside with numbers 0-9 and inside each is obviously the cached cover art

However iv noticed that it also fills with .dat files for each and every album i click on that is in Album cover view
Only does it in this view and no other

Some of the .dat files are around 3mb while most are in the kb sizes


I use portable version of musicbee but that makes no difference with this

Yes, this is by design.  It speeds up later access to the same covers.  If you want, you can periodically flush this folder with menu command Tools-->Advanced-->Reset Artwork Cache.

Ah ok thanks for info :)

I might have to re think this view choice then for my Recently added and game albums playlists then if its going to double up the cache size
Currently at 1.17gb but without this Album view it could be half
