I just installed version 3.2.6902.  In my data files, I have more than one folder - each with a library of tunes either for iTunes or Musicbee.  I believe one folder for each player has a version which has playlists on it that I would recognize.  In order to choose the correct folder to use as a library, I would first have to see the metadata which has the playlists.  First question is how do I do that?  Once I find that folder, I want to use it to create a library in Musicbee (with all the playlists that were created in iTunes).  Since I haven't used iTunes in several years (where the library and playlists originally came from), and I hate iTunes, I want to set myself up with Musicbee.  I am trying to avoid setting up all my playlists from scratch (I have over 6,000 tunes in my library).  Need a lot of expert help here.  Thank you in advance.

This is a screenshot of the panels when I first installed and opened Musicbee.  The large panel in the middle is the one I'm referring to.

Yes, I know how to hover.  Opened Musicbee just now and this is how it looks:

I still don't know how to reply to your post directly.

ITUNES FILES 01.01.2020  is the name of the folder with ALL my tunes.  That's the folder from which I want to create a Library and some Playlists.

You've replied to the thread, that's fine.

I don't think you're seeing the left navigator, just the thumbnail browser. Click on the layout button next to the search box and make sure that the left panel is not hidden. If it's in auto-hide mode, try showing it.

This screenshot should show no panels hidden.  Now you can see everything I see.  BTW, where can I find the *.mbi file?  Thank you........

I think that's the navigator on the left, but it's hard to tell. If you scroll to the top of that panel do you see something called "Music"?

That's got it. Yeah, where it says "Music" right under the name of your library? That's your actual library.  What do you see when you click there?

I'm not sure what could be going wrong, but that's a bad link again.

Ok, I got it to work by changing the https to http, for whatever reason. What that means is that there's nothing in your library.  Anything you want to have in your library, drag & drop to that Music node. Or you can use the "scan folder for new files" command in the File menu (or hotkey Insert).

Check out this page for more details on how to get tracks into your library: https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Importing

OK, I dragged all my files to the Music node and here's what I see now.

Do I now name this as my library?  If so, how do I do that?  Thank you.

Looks good.  You don't have to do anything else to the library. MusicBee doesn't run without a library, but now your files are in the library. Most anything else you want to do with your files can be handled from within the library, rather than having to work through folders.
