All newly added items have a different icon and do not sync to SD card

Recently, any new music files I put into my music file get picked up by the music bee library, and are searchable, however all of them have a new different icon, and these files will not sync to my SD card.  If I manually move them to the SD card, the Sync function will delete the files off my SD card, indicating that Musicbee does not think they are music.

Any idea how to fix this?

They're in your inbox. Select them, then Right click->Send To->Music Library

You can turn off use of the inbox in your preferences in the section about adding new files. Not in front of my computer right now for exact steps but look for something like add directly to library.

Ah that explains it.  I have never used the inbox before, and when I set up the monitored folder, it defaulted to send to Inbox, not the Library.  Thanks for your help!
