I researched the help documentation here:
https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=18853.0and here:
https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Custom_TagsI have several tags (standard id3 string tags) that are not supported by Music Bee however I have invested hundreds of hours using another music manager package so I need to be able to access these tags in order to migrate to Music Bee.
Here are two tags I would like to see:
TPRO
TENC
To reproduce:
1. Preferences -> Tags -> Define new tags:
http://imgbox.com/EB8MjpQJ2. Map the tags under custom tags:
http://imgbox.com/oItc7BFb3. Click Apply and Save
4. Music Bee rescans all tracks, this looks good.
5. Open the tag editor on a file that has both of these tags. Open the tag inspector and verify both tags exist:
http://imgbox.com/UMBOvWNR6. Okay good so the tag inspector knows about the tags, it can parse the file properly, everything looks good here.
7. Open the tags (2) tab of the tag editor and look for the data:
http://imgbox.com/gz8l2F6KThe field names updated from custom to the named entered, good but the fields are empty, no data. What happened?
Edit: I have since tried this with a few more tags and 20 tracks and always get the same result, they are always visible in the tag inspector tool but never show up in the tag editor. These are standard simple id3 string tags, they should be editable in MusicBee.
Any ideas?
I have the latest version of MusicBee, I just downloaded it: 3.2.6827
