Year / Year [yyyy] columns

From what I can tell, the reason we have 2 separate column headers here is that Year can be a full date, where Year [yyyy] just displays the year itself.

My suggestion then is that Year should be renamed Date (or Release Date) and Year [yyyy] can just be Year.

I always go with Year [yyyy] but like the column to be the width of 4-digits only. This means the column header contains an ellipsis due to the title being wider than necessary.

This may only be annoying to the ones with OCD but anyway the suggestion makes sense right?

Changing something essential like that in MB's internals would probably pose many problems for existing users, formulas, plugins, etc.

You can easily change it's label (displayed name) to a new unique name like 'Year.', or 'yr.' though.

(Preferences > Tags (1) > define new tags > Configure Fields...)
