so i noticed that sometimes that the media keys stop working globally and only work when musicbee is in focus.

a restart of musicbee fixes this but this is annoying to do in-game.

any fix?

Hopefully this won't be considered a necro, but I'm also having this problem.  I tried 2 different keyboards to see if it might be an issue with the keyboard, but it behaves the same regardless of keyboard.

The behavior is also inconsistent.  Upon starting MusicBee the media keys will register for a while, but after some unknown time or even, they stop working unless I focus MusicBee.  After this point, the media keys will typically work as long as the MusicBee window isn't minimized to the task tray, but that is a fully consistent behavior.

Thanks!

I think there are two separate issues involved with this. I have made a change that should address one issue where the keyboard handler can randomly stop which should help most people.
But for the second, where the keyboard uses appdata messaging for the media keys where MB is not the foreground window, that wont be addressed (I dont think that one is really a MusicBee bug as its by design from Microsoft, but other applications seem to be able to work around it)

unzip and replace ALL the existing musicbee files

Well, I do not know if it's related, but since the last version (3.2 RC 1) the multimedia button "Play / Pause" is super-sensitive, practically impossible to use, tested in other applications and worked perfectly. Is it a bug?

what do you mean by this?

also can you open regedit
and show the values for this path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response

I have to say that since the last update, when I used the multimedia button "Play / Pause" is very sensitive, the touch that previously paused or touched now behaves as two clicks.

could you try this version of MusicBeeBass.dll

unzip and replace the existing file

I still have the issue. But it happens way less than before.
