Hi guys,

I want to be able to find all songs that are not currently in any of my playlists.
(aka will never be played).
and either make a new playlist of these songs, or be able to select them all and do something with them.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Be on the Music tab

Top entry -> All Artists (or whichever, depending on which node you're in (Albums, Album Artists, etc)). Top entry will display the whole library.

Right click the column headers -> Set Displayed Fields -> Add "Playlist" as a field.  Then close selection box.

Sort by your new Playlist field. Blank (no playlists) will be sorted first

Select all tracks that are not in a playlist

Right click the selection -> Add to Playlist -> <New Playlist>

Set up the playlist

Enjoy

You could also conceivably make an auto-playlist that specifies tracks are not in any other playlist, although depending on how many playlists you have that could be a lot of work.

Experiment with an auto play list with criteria "is not playlist (list all your playlists)"?
