I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd like to use musicbee to play some of my favourite radio stations such as the BBC ones. It's possible in apps like Tunein so I was just wondering if I'd missed something in musicbee.

Right now Musicbee only allows me to search by genre, but I can't find BBC stations in any of the tabs (shoutcast, icecast, soma, etc). Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Do a google search to find out the url for the stream. Once you have the url, right-click on 'radio' in the navigator and fill in the information.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Further info, here's a tutorial about finding direct stream URLs from stations on the TuneIn website:

http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Play_TuneIn_radio_stations_through_MusicBee

It worked as of a few months ago.  Don't know if TuneIn has changed anything since then.

Click the link in the 2nd column and then copy the link from one of the choices
You will need to fill in the station name and format etc manually and it doesnt have a live feed of the playing track.
There might be a better way to do it

Not TOO much of a minority, lots of radio fans here!  Steven posted the address that should solve your BBC needs;  I can't help you with TuneIn, but also check this link out for a huge amount of stuff albeit with a not-too-great search engine:
