Hi,

I am wanting to use the file converter to convert some files to mp3. When trying to do this I'm told I need to download Lame...I have done this and placed Lame.exe in the Codecs sub folder but I'm still getting the message that mp3 encoding requires Lame.exe can someone tell me how to fix this???

Regards

Kevin

Have you checked in Prefs/File Encoders that the encoder location is properly pointing at the lame.exe file?  Hit the browse button to the right of the encoder location box, and be sure you "Save" or "Apply" afterwards.

Do I need a 32 or 64 bit version? I have the portable version 3.2 with Windows 7 64-bit. MusicBee is 32 or 64 bit? Thanks,

I've only had 64 bit Lame versions with MB and the 64 bit works just fine.  It shouldn't matter.

frankz, you are right. leme.exe is a program, not dll :)
