Hi,

I don't know if anyone thought of this but when I first use musicbee, I was not expecting a media manager. I'm using it as my media manager for videos and its great. I think its much better than mediamonkey and other applications I've tried. The reason I'm posting this is in musicbee website, its being advertise as a music manager and player only, and it does not tell that it will manage other media.

So should we change the name?

Thank you.

This was discussed and rejected many years ago. MB's main focus is music. It can only play video through a third-party player and not by itself. Yes, you can manage some other media, but it is still a MUSIC manager and player.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Thank you phred for the explanation, I prefer 3rd party viewers/players instead of built-in that is why I like using musicbee, maybe add video/file manager in the webpage, I think this will help in making musicbee more popular

What would be the point of adding video/file manager related stuff on the webpage?

AvikB, actually i support this idea. maybe its worth to change text "MusicBee makes it easy to manage, find, and play music files on your computer. MusicBee also supports podcasts, web radio stations and SoundCloud integration"  to "MusicBee makes it easy to manage, find, and play music files on your computer. MusicBee also supports podcasts, web radio stations and SoundCloud integration. As well you can manage, search and listen to music video clips (or watch them in external video player)" on the home page of the site

That seems reasonable. +1

Minor style note: The addition sounds awkward.

Something like - "In addition to support for podcasts, web radio stations and SoundCloud integration, MusicBee also allows you to manage, search and listen to music video clips (or watch them in an external video player)." works better.

i suspected this. english is not my native language :)

actually its very hard for me to think up english text of labels for dialogs of my plugins. people understand it, but i'm not sure how good it sounds for native speakers.

I hope it's not offensive that I make wording suggestions.  I pretty much write all day every day, so it's kind of a natural inclination.  I'll refrain if it's annoying.

I am ok with it if everyone seems to agree with it. I will do the update in few weeks, hopefully.
