Starting a few days ago, Music Bee simply failed to start when launching from the taskbar icon.
I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit, and I thought I had the most recent version of MB.
I cannot find any entry in the task manager's application or process lists for MB.

I uninstalled MB and downloaded the newest installer.
While at the site, I noticed the Microsoft Store link, and used that to install the version there.
It installed with no error, but the application still failed to launch.
I uninstalled again, did a disk cleanup, and re-installed with the downloaded installer.
MB ran fine. I was able to listen to music, and re-organize the interface to my preference.
This morning, however, the taskbar icon was missing, and when I restored it, and clicked on it, I got the same "non-response" - the application fails to launch.
After the failure to launch, when right-clicking on the taskbar icon, I can see several tasks listed for MB:
"Switch to Compact Player"
"Switch to Mini Player"
"Resume Playback"
"Auto Start DJ"
"Play Library Shuffled"

I would think those options only appear when the application is in some state of running.

anyway,

I wish I could provide something more substantive, but since that app isn't running at all (or not showing its interface), that's what I've got to report.

any thoughts?

thanks, Frankz, that worked.
my issue was so nebulous, I didn't know what to search for in the forums, so I just tossed this out there.

many thanks.

Avast had emailed me saying MusicBee 3.1 has been whitelisted in their software but its still clearly not the case
