Multimedia keyboard "Music Key"

My keyboard has a "Music Key" which opens the default music player (depends on the .cda file extension).

I'm running Musicbee 3.1.6510 and for some reason, pressing the key doesn't open Musicbee. If i set the default music player to Groove Music or iTunes, the key functions as it should.

Sorry if this doesn't seem like a Musicbee problem. It was working fine before but idk how i got it to work. After reinstalling my Windows fresh, i have not been able to make this work.
