Whenever I try to open the MusicBee app it gives me a loading circle for like half a second and then nothing happens. It doesn't start the MusicBee process in the taskbar either. I had this fixed by simply uninstalling en reinstalling the app again, but next day I couldn't start the app again. Trying to open the app as administrator doesn't help  either.

Try whitelisting MusicBee from your security apps.

I have this exact same issue. It started occurring directly after I installed the Window 10 Fall Creator's Update. Reinstalling Musicbee, either on top of the existing install or with a clean install of Musicbee, results in it being able to open once, but if it is closed and you try to reopen it, nothing happens. Rebooting Windows does doesn't help, running as administrator does nothing, and no other programs have had issues due to the FCU.

redwing has already provided the answer. Avast/ AVG is flagging MusicBee as a false positive so MusicBee needs to be white-listed as an exception in Avast

Ah, that did end up working. Since I'd ran Musicbee and Avast before with no issues, and it was so directly correlated to the FCU installation, I'd thought it might have been something else. Thank you!

Yes adding MB to exceptions in AVG worked for me. Thank you

Further to this, i contacted Avast via their false positive reporting mechanism.
They have agreed to white-list the v3.1 full installer for MusicBee that I submitted.
However, its not clear to me if their white-listing mechanism will also apply to the windows store version which has its own packaging/ install mechanism.

Thanks so much to redwing + andbelgium, I've been having this issue for a while but couldn't figure it out. Finally I have access to my library again :D

This happened for me also but I was able to runt MusicBee using the windows 10 backward compatibility troubleshooter (with version 7) - I have added MusicBee to the whitelist as well now and bizarrely it runs normally now - this doesn't make any sense to me why should backwards compatibility be equivalent with whitelisting in avast?

because its a piece of crap software? I gather its some bug in the Avast engine due to the windows fall update that they are supposed to be fixing in some future release when they get around to it
