Hi All

Perhaps I may be mistaken and overlooked this but when comparing duplicate files, there's no option to include bitrate in the column selections.

For me, bitrate is one of the key determiners as it generally (though not always) indicates better quality.  I'm hesitant to make deletions until/unless I have this data point to consider.

Am I mistaken about its omission?  If not, is this something that can be added?

Thanks

BTW, having used JRiver, foobar, and numerous other applications, I keep coming back to MusicBee. I sent Stephen a donation in the past and hope others do as well for his amazing product.

Bitrate appears in the Duplicate Manager.

And if you're comparing tracks in Track View, you can easily add a bitrate column by right-clicking on any column header and selecting 'set displayed fields. Then drag bitrate from the left column to the right colulmn.

Thanks for the detailed reply.. Somehow, I'm not seeing the same screen details as you are and I don't see an option to choose the bitrate as a visible field.  Pls see my attached image.  Thanks.

No screenshot was attached.
See this for help: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Posting_Screenshots

What I'd like to see is a shot of your 'set displayed fields' window.

Actually, the screenshot was included but it didn't seem to recognize it as an image to display.  I exposed the URL.

The bitrate in your screenshot is replaced with "lossless".  You could make a wishlist request for it to be displayed there, but showing it in the main panel should work for you, in the meantime.

Thanks psychoadept, for the follow-up. In actuality, all of my files are lossless flac so "lossless" isn't of much use when comparing hi-res files. I'll ask Steven as a request.
