they can only be sorted by one of the displayed fields. You could edit the comment field on each station and sort on that if title is not the way you want to sort by

So they cannot be sorted individually? That's strange, why is that? Actually I cannot imagine that. I would like to sort them #1 by "genre" and #2 "most liked" (on top descending).

Sounds a bit circumstantially.

add it to the wishlist and if enough people agree with you it could be implemented

Can one somehow create categories, e.g. by genre in the radio station playlist so that I can find / access the stations easyer?

You can use the Genre field for any text input you want and sort on that.
OR you can do what Steven suggests and use the Comment field and sort on that.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

What for does one need the patch in your signature, is it an update / bug fix for MB?

Steven issues patches every few days as he squashes bugs that have been reported. Sometimes the patch is for a new or improved feature.

Alright, so I will install / copy it.

Can MB automatically download / install patches / updates? Or does one each time have to do it manually?

Just to clarify - there is an option to check for updates when launching MB, but (as far as I know) only checks for full-fledged updates (not beta and not patches) and does not automatically download new updates.
Preferences > General > check for updates on startup
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Very odd, MB does not check for patches. What is the sense of it?

Yes, checking for updates is checked.
