I've been using MB for a few weeks now, and have imported around 40,000 tracks with no problems. However, over the last couple of days I've been unable to add any new files. I've tried to drag & drop, and also the scan folders method. D&D gives 'An expected error occurred' pop-up, and an invitation to copy the error report, which I'm unable to do as it's not possible to select the text. Scanning sends a message, via the error log, saying that it's unable to scan the files.

Version 3.1.6445 on Windows 10.

Any advice welcomed....TIA.

i am surprised more detailed info in the error log (help/support/view error log)
However, you should just be able to paste the error text and MB automatically copies it to the clipboard
and as a last resort, post a screenshot

Steven, put it down to my incompetence....don't know if this helps; it's from my last attempt to drag files into the database.

according to the log, MB is attempting to move the file to the organised library folder but something has the music file open.
If MB is playing the file itself, MB should stop music playback. Otherwise you would need to figure out what might have the file open
