Unable to play File error

Hello I have the following error. The files all seem to be fine but the player will not play them. I am getting the following error "unable to play this file - it has an unsupported format or is corrupted". I created these files years ago. I used to use Itunes but I am trying to use MusicBee. Windows media wont play them either. I reloaded Itunes to see if it would play the files and Itunes doesn't even grab the file into the inventory. So I am at a loss. They are MP3's so the format is okay. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

you could try v3.1 which is available from the first forum topic and includes the BASS mp3 decoder which is better than the one that comes with windows
