scanning for new files

Hi,

i added some files in 3.1.6298 and when i do a file > scan folders for new files i was able to select a local disk D *where files are stored) when i choose folder option. i longer can select a local disk for scanning. i did file > advance > rescan my files and no new ones for detected.  is there a way to only scan for new files from a local disk? i was able to do this before i reinstalled.

well for a person with low vision i figure this out.
