Click to expand a new cd, and the screen jumps

When I scroll up or down in my Main Panel, then click on the arrow to expand a new cd selection, the screen has started jumping.
Maybe I'm listening to Phil Campbell, and I scroll up and click on the arrow to expand a Metallica cd, the screen jumps back down almost to Phil Campbell again. I can scroll back up and the Metallica cd is expanded, but I can't figure out why my screen has started jumping.
Anyone have any idea why this started happening? I'm sure at some time I must have hit a button for some feature, but I can't figure out what it was.
I have searched for issues like this, even in the wiki, but have come up empty.
I'm running 3.0.6276.

By any chance do you have "highlight playing track" turned on in Now Playing preferences?

Thanks for your response, but no it is not checked. That panel is all default.
