I got the lists, and they seem like a good starting point. I always tried to keep the main genres extremely limited; Rock, Jazz, Classical, Soul, Rap, and World.
If you are going through that list (but it would probably only be sensible to do that if there is a chance it could be used in MusicBee), note that the list is
not intended as a librarian's guide to genre's.
It is a list, created to accommodate specifically for what would be possible in MusicBee.
For example, some entries under the column 'genre' could arguably be considered a sub-genre.
And some entries under sub-genre, could arguably be considered being a further refinement of a sub-genre.
Also, for this list I chose to use MusicBee's Genre Category feature to function more or less as 'genre' (or 'main genre' as you mention it in your reply), and there may be entries under sub-genre that technically should perhaps fall even one hierarchy lower (but would then drop of this list completely).
So, I have smuggled and stretched a little bit here and there, so to have a list that is sensible (not perfect or absolutely complete), and uses, and makes the most of MusicBee's available three level refinement.
(if this all would be implemented that is)
