release date (track date ) and album date Various Artists

how do you get around this ? let say you have "Various Artists albums (2005)"

songs of the 50's...  ever track has its release date  1956 1957 and so no 

how to get album to show as  2005 ?

I use the year field for the album date and configured original year as a custom tag to store individual track dates

I do exactly the same. I've renamed the first custom tag as TrackYear.

I also use this field as one of the shown fields in the main view so the information is clearly visible.
