Drop down / expand functionality for Column Browser

Heya,
in rare instances (in only a few layouts I use) I would love to have a column browser occasionally. As is, I get by by adding/removing the GUI element when necessary. It would be nicer to have a collapse/expand button on the Column Browser (for me, in my use cases, as usual...).

Add column browser to the main panel, and then you can show/hide it using "quick settings menu" under Configure Layout button or hotkey, toolbar button, etc.
