BASS_ERROR_INIT and Unable to load preferences

Hi,

Loaded MusicBee this morning to be greeted with a couple of errors.

"MusicBee wasn't able to load your preferences and has recovered the last backup - any Preferences changed the last time you used MusicBee will be lost"

Then when trying to play a song I get:

"Unable to open file (error=BASS_ERROR_INIT)"

I having tried restarting numerous times and downloading the latest version, but nothing helps.

I am using the portable version.

there is a bug in the text of error message displayed (the bit about the preferences) which is already fixed in the patch version.
The error will be related to there being no audio device active that the bass library can initialise. It might just be a case of rebooting your pc

Yeah cheers Steve. It was an issue with the sound driver. I had to remove and then reinstall it. All works fine now.
