Yep, I am seeing the same database error when using my phone on mobile data - its fine when connecting with wi-fi.
I've not seen it when using my PC.

This might be pure coincidence but there has been a sudden and dramatic drop in footfall to the site in the last few days:

Hopefully a coincidence. The high numbers are mostly bots and if you look at prior months, dips have happened before.

Hopefully a coincidence.
It seems highly unlikely that four different forum users reporting this 'database error' over the last week is a coincidence.
Perhaps the decline in statistics that tjinc observed is a coincidence, but the duck walks and quacks that it's not.

ok, so i think the issue is related to IP addresses using IPV6
I will look into it over the weekend

It indeed seems that's it.
On my 'problematic' Windows tablet I removed IPv6 functionality/entries and that solved the issue.

I haven't been able to use the forum for the past week or so. I could read one post then I'd get endless database errors. Tried many different browsers on both my phone and laptop - no joy

I read this post first thing today and saw the possible link to ipv6 addresses. I disabled ipv6 in Windows and now I can finally log in and report my issues and start using the forum again
