Hi,

Now, I'm more familiar with the Inbox feature and I don't deny his usefulness but sometimes I do like to re-order playlists by affinity to find the music I need to hear when I'm in a certain mood. I used to have "irrational" playlists with other players which I constantly modify. MusicBee is so complete and almost perfect for my personal usage, it's a pity that I can't do that.

I don't know if it would be easy to insert an option, anyway I don't know much things about that but it will be very welcome for me.

Thanks for reading!

you can manually reorder items in playlists just using drag and drop actions like any other player, so i am guessing there is something more subtle you are asking for.
Also i am not sure how this relates to the inbox. Just remove the node using the layout preferences if you dont use it

Sorry for the confusion, it relates to the inbox because re-order can be very useful to tag new files but in my case, I didn't talk about that.
I just want to change the order of my old playlists as I like, sometimes I do like to put sad songs with sad songs, smooth songs with smooth songs, it can be that stupid and sorting is not always the best way to do that, it's not always about the genre.

I may have a problem with my version because when I try to change the order I have this error: https://i.imgur.com/RR4U4pg.jpg?1

Is that normal or an issue?

Sorry to be a little bit insisting but I'm wondering, this absence of response is that a good sign or a bad sign?
Is there a chance that we can have an option in the future for more flexibility or do you think it's useless?

It's like an autistic fixation for me haha. If I had like twenty requests I wouldn't even care. This is really the only thing that I miss, I love organize and re-organize my playlist in a certain way and let it play during hours.

Speaking for myself, I don't understand what you're asking for well enough to try to answer.

Oh, really? English is not my first language, so I will try to simplify. I just want the ability to move tracks into playlists by drag & drop.
It's already possible for the queue but not for playlists. It's also possible to add tracks from the library at the end of a playlist but I can't move them after that.

I downloaded foobar to be more clear:

As you can see I move tracks in the order I want without any logic or restriction into the playlist.
With MusicBee, I can do it for the queue but not for playlists:

I don't ask it by default but an option could help people like me who have habits with another player.

I think I get it.  Is that a static playlist or an auto playlist?  A static playlist can be reordered by drag & drop, but ONLY if you have it sorted in playlist order (the # column).   See "playlist order" on this page: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Playlists#Static_Playlists

Yes, you get it! This is exactly what I want.
It's a static playlist and I want to drag tracks up or down like it's described in the wiki, but, can you make it works? I've always sorted my playlists by playlist order and I have no drag & drop possibility.

I feel really stupid, should I try with an older patch?

What happens if you turn off the grouping header (looks like you're using album)

Well played, it works. Do you think it's intentional from Steven or just a little issue? Grouping header makes me save a lot of space for track title.

I think it's intentional, but you could change your request to be about that.  Might be easier to post a new one.
