Issues with syncing with ipod classic

So,

since I've updated to the latest version of MB for some reason some bands that start with The sometimes have The removed, sometimes not. Even within the same album.

Example Velvet Underground & Nico has all the songs except one listed as Velvet Underground & Nico, while one song is listed as The Velvet Underground & Nico. I checked through the tags and can't see any differences from that one song to the other.

Also, there says there is only 10 gigs free with my 120 gig ipod, but I only have 75 gigs of music.

there is an option 'replace artist with sort-artist' in the main device settings - can you check its not ticked

I unchecked it and re-synced and it didn't fix it.

it probably wont resync as it doesnt think the file has changed since the last synch. For one of the problem ones, could you delete it from the ipod then resynch. It should resynch with 'the' in the artist name
