Music Library problem

Hey I've installed MusicBee on both my laptop and pc, and I use Bittorrent Sync to synchronise the songs between the two computers. However, the Bittorent Sync creates an invisible .sync folder in the synced folder in where an archive of older versions of the files are placed, which will show up in my MB inbox as duplicates.
I cannot just simply remove this folder from the library, since the parent folder has music files in it too.

Folder setup:
- Music Library > .sync folder                    > archive   >songs
                        > Bunch of album folders  > songs
                        > songs

Is there anyway to blacklist this folder? I tried making a filter for MB but the "duplicates" won't get removed from my inbox.

You could move files in the parent folder to a sub-folder and untick the parent folder from monitored folder setting.

Do you really need BTSync to make backups?  You can turn that setting off by folder.  Use MusicBee if you need to make backups, and send them somewhere else.

It´s not for backups, I use it to keep everything synced continuously. features like Windows homegroups have the ability to sync on command, and cloud services are limited to an amount of storage which are easily exceeded.

Having to change the layout of my library will force me to sit through another evening of music synchronising, It´s an easy but timeconsuming option..
It seems to be the best option though as for now

If your songs are tagged properly, changing folder structure shouldn't be an issue with MB. Once you set the template, you could apply it to each machine manually. Moving files on the same drive won't take any time.

Though I got caught by the tens of duplicate filenames that Id rather not deal with.
Most of my files are properly tagged, at least everything has a title and an artist. Ive never really tried the auto organise option due to my fear of possibly losing some files, I guess now is the time to try it.
One question though; does organising my files make me have to sync all the files I just organised over again with BTsync? If so,  Im prob gonna drop BTS and just manually copy the files through an usb or such..

Auto-organization is optional. You could just select tracks, and apply a naming template manually (File> Organize Files). If this is first time, you'd better start testing with a small sample of files to learn how the template works, without using auto-organization option. The benefit of auto-organization is whenever you change a tag or import a new track, they auto-move to a new folder. Otherwise, it's the same as using templates manually.
I'm not sure how BTsync deals with moved files. I'd just apply the template to each machine manually, and then turn it on again.

Damn, Im figuring out more and more how awesome MB really is. having all my files organized in folders completely voids the problem I had, and I don't even have to do it manually.

Yeah, I use it too.  If you untick the "store deleted files in archive" option that should keep it from creating the duplicates.

ah, that wouldve been a lot easier..
oh well, at least now I know how to organise my music files in a simple manner
