I realize this is a dumb question, but I was just wondering why MB needs to store all the album cover art in a local folder. When I select the artwork I always check "link to a an organized copy", and I thought that meant that it was linked to the original file. Also, if the file is removed from the original location it seems MB no longer has access to it. Would someone mind providing a brief explanation how this works? Thanks.

EDIT: Also, why are there 2 artist pictures folders? MusicBee\Library\Artist Pictures\Thumb & MusicBee\AppData\InternalCache\ArtistThumbs
Seems like a waste of space, no?

What you're seeing in AppData are probably the thumbnails used for Album Covers view, etc.  These need to be available at whatever resolution they are displayed at, otherwise MB has to recreate the image every time you scroll, which will use a lot more resources.
