Sorting question

Hello!

So I have this Bjork discography and I want it displayed in playlist in this order:

1. First goes her albums like Debut [1991], Post [1993], etc.
2. Then goes all of her EPs and singles and compilations

I definitely remember earlier MusicBee was sorting exactly like this, which I thought was neat. But I can't figure out now by myself. Any advice appreciated, thanks

Are there any tags in your collection that would indicate whether the release was an album, EP or single?  Kind of like Musicbrainz Picard's tag <RELEASETYPE>: http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Release_Group/Type

If so, best to use MB's tag inspector to doublecheck that the information is there, take note of the "tag code" and then add the "tag code" as a custom music tag (Preferences > Tags (1) > Define New Tags).  Then name the custom tag, point it to the just-created tag and select the option to save it to the music file.  MB will rescan your collection adding any metadata from the new custom tag you just created.  Then you can create your own sort order using that custom tag.
