Have been using Music Bee for several years now and still think it's awesome software.

I'm wondering however if there is a way to disable scanning for new files on startup -I have always had the problem of stuttering output while MB scans my rather large library of 10 TB -every time I start MB I must wait quite some time before I can play any music uninterrupted. I have of course increased the buffer size. It would be nice if MB could scan for new files only when I have added something to my library, and only when I want it to.

Cheers!

Under library settings, there's "on startup check for updated or missing files" option.
Also you could disable monitored folders setting, if that's what does it.

Thanks Redwing.

The check-box  "On startup check for updated or missing files" was already deselected, so disabling monitored folders solved the problem.

Cheers!
