Mono and L/R for individual tracks

Is it possible to configure certain tracks to automatically play with mono DSP or specific L/R settings? I have some old recordings that weren't taken with very good equipment and where nothing else is available that's better, sometimes the L/R balance will be off, and sometimes it improves sound quality to listen in mono or by slightly adjusting L/R balance if it's only a bit off. It's tedious to do this all the time, but I notice that you can set specific EQ settings per track, however this doesn't work for what I want it to. Is there any way to do this, or if not, any suggestions?

You can always use some audio editing software to make permanent changes to those files (or copies of these files) to suit your needs/taste.
