Using the latest version, but this problem has been in multiple versions. http://imgur.com/a/uzz0F

Set your view to Album and Tracks, in preferences > Layout (1) > under main panel Configure Views > Album and Tracks > fields displayed below artwork change album to blank. apply and save > apply and save again. Restart Musicbee and the option you just changed gets reverted back to album.

Please tell us the version number (Help > About) as "the latest version" may not truly be the latest version.  For example, on the MB download page it shows version 2.5.5721.  But there have been many patches since then and in fact, the latest 2.5 version is 2.5.5759.  I don't even want to mention the current round of version 3 testing that's going on.  If you're not on 2.5.5759, I suggest you update to the latest patch (see my sig) and see if the problem is resolved.

Just updated it to 2.5.5759, still have the same "bug."

The display option has been around for quite some time now, I've only been using the Album and Tracks layout for about 9-10 months and every time I restart I have to redo this option.

I think this is a known issue, not that I can find a source right now.  Just put a blank tag there instead (for instance, one of the custom tags).

To be honest, I don't see a bug here at all.
When 'fields displayed': 'below artwork' is checked, it seems quite logical to me that that means at least one entry should be there, and if the user leaves that empty, MusicBee defaults to standard 'Album'.

psychoadepts suggestion seems perfect to me, and came into my mind as well: get creative, and use a custom or virtual tag.
Else you could post a wishlist request for a 'don't show anything at all under artwork' button, but I think there are more important things to be accomplished.

When nobody objects, I will move this to 'General' soon.

Fair enough, should I post the suggestion for a feature myself or will moving the thread be enough?
