Remote Control app

I have MB installed on my laptop. I am interested in getting the app on my phone to control MB.  But I have never downloaded an app to a phone before.
Do I need to do anything on the laptop to enable remote control?
Are there any step by step instructions I can follow?

here all the info you want. There is a plugin for the remote control and the developer created the cor-respective android app.
