custom tags

I would like to see three of the custom having the same properties as the Genre tag.  That is to say, that with the use of a semi-colon only the first portion of the information would can displayed.
I am aware that reducing column width can achieve a similar result, but it does not look tidy.

Can you give an example of what you mean?

he means that custom tag "value1; value2; value3" can be displayed as "value1*" in the main panel. this can be achieved using virtual tag.
