I just noticed in Services|'Upcoming releases'  -using MusicBee 3.0.5811-
that many of the displayed entries are shown twice or more.
(this doesn't occur in v2.5)
i find that surprising. Could you post a screenshot as that might give some clues. Also i might need your settings file
I edited my previous post: it also occurs in v2.5.

Screenshots from v2.5 from a few minutes ago.
Screenshot 1: https://i.imgur.com/mxIZTNq.jpg
Screenshot 2:https://i.imgur.com/uagwLM5.jpg

It currently doesn't show any releases in both v2.5 and v3:
it just shows "Loading..." but then doesn't show any releases. (though the site https://musicbrainz.org/ opens ok in my browser)

I just sent you my settings file via pm

Now, after quite a few tries, it eventually it showed results in both versions.

By the way, I just got this error while viewing "Upcoming Releases":

the issues are related to musicbrainz. There isnt any point reporting further issues as it due to there database having some issues. Its appears to be ok now

Nope, same story:
i can reproduce this using your skins. But to confrm that could you try using the musicbee3 skin
this relevant setting causing the issue appears to be:
PlayerFlat.DisplayPanel
which in the tron punk skin appears to be set to 0,0,0,0

Yes, it's ok now, but the duplicate entries still exist.

Previously I had tried it with the 'MusicBee Classic' and 'MusicBee Default' skins, which also resided in my skin folder. (I'm not sure of their origins)
They both give the same display corruption.

I now tried 'MusicBee3' skin, and that one is displaying o.k..

Using 3.0.5811 I'm finding two "close window" X marks in the floating Tag Editing window.  I didn't notice this in previous versions, but today I was trying some new skins and there it was.  I then tried the default MB3 skin and it's there also.
i havent seen this myself with the dialog windows or made any changes that i am aware of. I have made a change so if it still happens with the new versions then please let me know

FWIW, the Tag Editor window is the only window it happens in.  I'll keep you posted.  Thanks.

fixes for the above:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/yg2iu46j3binune/MusicBeeDemo.zip

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe

i also put in a small tweak to the picture sizing in the compact player in order to reduce over-cropping

Sorry to report that it's still happening with the version you just posted - 3.0.5813.  Same behavior as originally reported.

I had it occur to me today in the main panel.  It was the highlight image only showing up on the LH side.

Re-tried several things I was doing at the time, but could not get it to re-occur.

Not as perfect a fix as having the image centered and blended - but definitely an improvement.  Thank you.

the issue reported by phred was the close button being painted on the left of the header bar when opening a dialog window. I am not sure exactly what you saw but it sounds quite different. Is this the very first time this has happened to you and was it immediately after startup?

I had the close button painted on the left of the caption bar in the main panel.
same position as phred, in line with the RH stop button, but his was on the header of a dialog window - mine was on the main window.
On the skin I was using it was immediately recognisable as the highlight close button.
If you look closely at the image provided by phred, it appears to be the highlight close button as well.

Yes. Both for first time and immediately after startup.

Working on a new skin and viewing in 2.5
added splash screen and a few new left sidebar icon overrides in the .xml
restarted 2.5 with toolbar button to view splash screen
closed 2.5 and then started 3.0
LH close button (highlight image) appeared
re-started MB and not seen since.
