the small digits are displayed as bold on mouse-over. I guess for a future MB version, the font size could be increased a bit

Ah, I see. Segui only starts looking 'bold' from 8 pt and up.
If you'd like to stick to 7 pt, Segui semibold could perhaps be an alternative for the mouse-over.

fixes for the items stated as fixed above
http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_0/MusicBee3_Patched.zip

unzip into the folder MB is installed and run MusicBee.exe

I confirmed the fix, but I found another bug.
When I select genre in the library explorer, file size and duration of music shown at the lower right do not change.
It seems that information about all the files in the music library is shown.

A screenshot is shown below.
There are five albums with file size of 1.2 GB and duration of 4:07:47, but wrong information is displayed.

I have a n00b question about 3.0.

When I hover the mouse pointer over the left edge, this happens: -

How do I turn that off?

Thanks!

What you are seeing is the left sidebar, and it is doing that because it is set to auto-hide. You can change any settings related to the left sidebar from the "Configure Layout" button that should be near the top-right part of your MusicBee.

While I'm here, I have to say I'm in love with the new "Music Explorer" panel. Pretty much everything about is better than what I've seen other music players try when implementing a similar feature.

The only thing I'm having trouble with is that I like it so much that I wish it could be used in conjunction with the Artists thumbnail browser. Maybe I'm missing something but I cannot get the left panel to show when I'm in the Music Explorer view, despite that view being awesome for displaying albums you have for an artist.

This is what I mean;

Huge thanks for all the work done on version 3 by the way, MusicBee is becoming even better and better.

Is the fact that we can't use the thumbnail browser with the Music Explorer view intentional? If not, could it be considered for future iterations?

yes i has considered to include that for v3 but its too late now. It would probably need to be optional though as the Top Tracks panel reduces the available space which will be a problem for some configurations/ screens.
I will set up a v3.1 topic in the next couple of weeks and i suggest you put this in that topic

Having it as an option would be awesome yes, I'll put it in the 3.1 thread when it's up thanks for the reply!

Does anyone know if it's possible to limit search results within locked tabs to just one "search results" tab?

I use search quite a lot and I'm sure I can't be the only one with loads of opened search results tabs I'm constantly having to close!

if you set the search preference (from the search icon button menu) to local, MB shouldnt open a new tab. Otherwise to answer your question - no.

The search field when located below the caption bar has no minimal allowed horizontal size, so it is possible to drag and minimise it completely 'out of sight'. That's probably not desirable.

Also, with 'A Sophisticated Bee, doing that results in a crash. (big red cross)
But that might be some skin issue.
