May I kindly enquire when the official v3.0 release is likely to land? :)

Why it is no more possible to get the Now Playing layout we had in MB2 (see screenshot)?
I mean with Artist bio in the bottom of the main panel, and with rotating random images gathered from internet. MB3 is a regression for this aspect.

In MB2:

In MB3, we lose a lot of empty space, we lose the random images (in this view), and bio is not comfortable to read:
I was a Winamp lover... until I discovered MusicBee! No other music player can beat it!

You can still do that, just enable the "Now Playing Bar" in the panel layout window.

In the panel layout window, I have chosen the elements to show in the right sidebar. I put them in the order that they should show up in my right sidebar, but they display in an order different from the order that I have the elements arranged in panel layout. Is this a bug, or is it not possible to determine the order that the elements show in the right sidebar?

In the pictures you can see that Bio, Playing Tracks, and Lyrics are not displayed in the order that I configured it to.

Not sure what you're trying to achieve exactly, but maybe it's because you've stacked those elements.
Untick the "stack" checkboxes next to each element and see how that goes.

MB3 v3.0.5896:

I've got a tab I've labeled "Library" and the view is set to the Music library. In the center panel, I've got the Artist column, then to the right is the Album and Tracks column. Under the Album and Tracks column I've got the columns Artwork, Album, Album Rating, Disc - Tracks #, Time, Title, Rating. I've noticed that the Album Rating column entries are displaying for each track (seems odd to be per-track). I can't click any of them to set the album's rating. Highlighting a track shows the faint (unrated) stars for the Album Rating, but nothing happens when I click on any of them. Intentional?

Also a suggestion: Is there any way the Album Rating could be one set of 5 stars placed under either the Artwork or the Album entry? Seems like it would be a more logical placement.
i dont really understand your post. Are you using the Album and Tracks layout? If not it sounds like what you want. Otherwise post a screenshot as that might help

@Steven
I believe these might be bugs with the Playlist Manager (while pinned);
Restarting MusicBee reverts the currently selected playlist back to the root music library.
The option to export a playlist is grayed out and not available.
the first is not a bug - i appreciate its desirable but i had quite a bit of trouble with that so its not implemented
this second i will fix

It appears that the toggle for the list duration at the bottom bar is not working. I used to be able to toggle between 1.4 hours or 1:24:55 (as an example) by clicking on the numbers but this does not seem to work anymore in 5897 where I am stuck with the less insightful 1.5.

Related to this issue, I noticed launching "search internet for picture" command from main panel on artwork view or artists view shows a different result from running the command from track info panel for tracks that have different values for artist and album artist. v2.5 shows the same search results.
yes you are right - the artwork panel is not using the Album Artist

On the bottom half of the right sidebar, I would like to show the elements stacked (as tabs) in the following order: "Playing Tracks", "Lyrics", "Bio".  And that is how I have it set up in the panel layout window.  But it displays as "Bio", "Playing Tracks", "Lyrics".

Another little detail: middle clicking on the header in Album & Tracks view doesn't filter to that artist. (if it matters, I have both left and right headers)
thats fixed for the next update

When lyrics element is placed in the right sidebar in the narrowest width, part of lyrics don't show.
amazing you found this as its a very precise width for it to happen. Its fixed for the next update

+1

And to hitch on to this, it could be interesting to be able to have more than one stacked groups of elements. (as in gpzbc's screenshot)
It is achievable, but you will have to place another existing element in between them to separate those.

To be able to have more than one stack adjacent without the need for placing an existing element between them, maybe a 'divider' element could be added?
