Also, what is this error? (it's unrelated to the bug above, it's from the lyrics editor plugin I installed yesterday).

Crash happened again and this time didn't have repeat on.

from your settings file i see you have some plugins that i dont recognise enabled so i suggest you disable them for a while:

mb_OriconLyricsPlugin
mb_PetitLyricsPlugin
mb_SortOrderTagCreation
if it is still happening then disable "save lyrics to file" in the Tags(2) preferences

also the error message you posted is from one of your plugins so i wont be able to help with that

Been using Musicbee 3.0 for a while now.. does anybody know why every time i download a new skin (I'm currently using Duophonic) and i put the music player into mini player the volume bar to drag and raise the volume up or down isn't visible? Here's some proof http://i.imgur.com/3O82hco.png

I installed all of those yesterday. I found out which plugin was causing the error log and disabled it (lyricseditor).

I just got into lyrics a few days ago, have never put lyrics in any songs before and I was getting crashes. I guess it's gonna be really hard to get rid of it and I'll have to try all sorts of stuff for it not to happen..

Don't seem to have drag and drop functionality for MP3 tagging like in 2.5

If you dragged an album or track to any contents of the column browser, Musicbee would give you the option of changing the MP3 tags to whatever you dragged it to. Found this feature incredibly useful so hope this hasn't been removed.

I am trying to figure out what is the lock tab function? also Pin function seems like how browsers pin tabs, also it only shows icons when switching to other tabs, which i quite like. but then what do we use the lock function? i am confused. :S

tab lock simply disables the tab from being closed has no meaning when a tab is pinned so i have hidden that when a tab is pinned.

It's a known bug (reported here) that has only been partially fixed.

If you expand the mini player slightly the volume button should appear.

That makes sense. But in my example(s), album artist and album title are consistent.

I can confirm this.  Here's a screencap, showing that the the album & artist match (there are multiple artist values, but they're all the same, too): http://imgur.com/kA2FPSp.  But when I right click on the artwork in the main panel and search, I get the separate searches per track.  On the other hand, using the artwork in the tag editor or the artwork in the left panel works as expected.

I tied going back to 2.5 but couldn't, 3.0 just has that many improvements..

I guess thecrash bug is the only thing keeping it from being perfect, hopefully I'll find a solution..

unzip into the musicbee application folder and run MusicBee3.exe
- fixes and changes for the items stated as fixed above
- for tab pinning, you can now pin removable devices. On restart the pinned node will only appear when the device is connected.
- as per redwings suggestion, i decided to no longer auto-hide the left sidebar for a pinned tab.
- for the suggestion of showing the inbox and podcast numbers; and (i vaguely recall) someone suggested showing the first letter of a filter; as part of the pinned tab header: i havent decided yet what i will do, if anything, for that

Works good. Still get some artifacts from the splitter line though. No biggie, just thought I'd mention it.

This is very minor, but with two monitors and MB on the second monitor, the Rip CD dialog opens in the same window as MB, but if you need to choose a result for tags, that pop-up consistently opens in the first window, even after being moved once.

That was a convoluted sentence.  Short version: album selection for ripping doesn't remember that you moved it to a different window.

One more comment about Replace File: MB is not deleting empty folders when the last file has been removed by the Replace File feature.


p.s. Unrelated, but I really like how the Music node flashes bold when you drop something on it.
